Smithville’s alumni baseball game slated for Saturday

On Saturday, Feb. 4, Smithville’s alumni baseball players will face off with its the Tigers baseball players in the alumni baseball game at Tiger Field beginning at 11 a.m.

The Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District voted to keep the moratorium on new well permits in place, but that doesn’t mean the City of Bastrop won’t be able to pump from their wells in the Alluvium aquifer at Bob Bryant Park.

Bastrop County commissioners approved a resolution to support an agreement between Aqua Water Supply Corp. and the City of Elgin at the commissioners court regular meeting Monday, Jan. 23.
